1. THE BASIC STUFF

Notify us of your CLAIM

CLICK HERE to complete the online claim notification form or CONTACT US as soon as reasonably possible on  087 233 8772 or at claims@suretimes.co.za.

Report any incident to the police within 24 hours. Tell us about and give us any letter of demand, summons or similar legal document within 48 hours. Give us the full details of your claim within 14 days.

2. WHEN ACTIVATING A CLAIM

Give us your police case number, keep your ID & policy number handy & forward a detailed account of the accident to us with a completed claim form (provided by one of our claims consultants).

3. WHAT DO WE PAY?

  • We’ll always pay you directly in SA Rand and into a bank account in your name.
  • When you claim you must pay the excess as stated in your policy. We may deduct your excess from your accepted claim amount.
  • If your vehicle is financed and it’s a total loss, we may pay the outstanding financed amount to the bank first and then the balance to you.
  • We may decide to repair or replace your vehicle, or any part thereof and/or its spare parts. Or, we may settle the amount of the loss by transferring the money into your bank account.
